I just gotta say something.
I read story after story this morning about how the richest of the rich just keep getting richer.
It's shameful.
Wall Street and the banking industry are in cahoots with the Fed in a shameful pyramid scheme.
I would never begrudge you or me or anyone for making a buck, but come on, when it becomes obscene, and at OUR expense, well then I gotta say something.
The banks and their ilk are making more than ever before.
The Big Boys on Wall Street get loans at.
0078% from the Fed.
What?! Let that sink in for a moment as you try to comprehend that while The Bush Tax Cuts will continue on their merry way, Congress has let unemployment benefits run out.
What?! The deck is not only stacked against the little guy (that'd be you and me), I don't think there's even a deck anymore.
While so many have lost, or are losing, their jobs, careers and homes, the fat cats are partying like it's 2005.
What Great Recession? What economic decline? Let's just define it like Bush defined Katrina: "A rough patch.
" I don't have any immediate answers for you.
But, I do remain very resolute in my humble opinion that things are gonna have to get a lot worse before anything of REAL VALUE happens, as in REAL CHANGE.
As if we haven't sunk low enough, apparently things will need to decline to even more epic proportions (oh, and they certainly WILL) before meaningful transformation, accountability, and enforced Wall-Street-Too-Big-To-Fail-Banks-Federal-Government regulations become REALITY.
Folks, we apparently have to hit the gutter (or below), with our very fate as a nation in the balance before a true shift in consciousness might save us from ourselves.
That's one big "might.
" When arrogant greed run amuck is the backbone of this Country, which it IS, you know it can only survive so long.
We have been taken down a path so dark and demonic, that who knows if we can or will survive the journey.
