So you are all set with your new business.
You have taken care of all the legal stuff and even finished up your own website, which to you at least, looks pretty darn good.
Everything is in place for you to start taking in customers now.
There is one problem though.
No one is visiting your website.
Well here are a couple of ways that you can get visitors without costing you a penny.
Probably the simplest way to market your website is by forum posting.
The first thing that you should do is find a relative forum for your niche.
For example, if you are selling quilting supplies, then you need to find a forum that quilters visit.
Once you have signed up as a user, start off by answering any questions that you know the answer too.
The biggest thing with forum marketing is not to spam the forum with links back to your website.
Be a helpful member of the community and provide quality feedback.
Add a link to your website in your signature and you will be amazed at the amount of traffic you will get.
Visit the forum often.
Post questions as well.
Once you become a viable member to that online community, people will trust you and be more apt to click the link in your signature.
Another easy and free way to start marketing your website is to start your own blog.
There are many free blogs that you can use, such as WordPress.
Just do a simple Google search for "free blogs" and you will have plenty to choose from.
Start posting good quality articles.
You want people to come back to the blog often so make sure you update weekly.
When posting, don't try to sell anything.
Give quality information on your niche.
People will visit and eventually end up back to your website if they are in the market for your product.
Those are just two easy ways to get started marketing your website.
The biggest thing is that you have to get out there and actually do it.
Way too many of my clients take all of the information that I give them, but never act on it.
You can have the best site in the history of the internet but if you aren't getting visitors, no one will see it.
