- 1). Insert into the Xbox unit the Memory Unit or USB drive to which you wish to transfer the Xbox saves. Note that the Xbox 360 Elite S, introduced in June 2010, does not feature Memory Unit ports and is only compatible with USB portable storage.
- 2). Highlight "Settings" from the "My Xbox" section of the Xbox 360 menu and press the "A" button.
- 3). Highlight your Xbox 360's hard drive and press the "A" button. Highlight "Games" from the list of content on the hard drive and press"A."
- 4). Highlight the game you wish to transfer saves from and press the "A" button. Locate the save file from the game files and press "A."
- 5). Highlight "Copy" or "Move" and press the "A" button. Select the Memory Unit or USB drive you wish to transfer the save onto and press "A." The "Copy" feature will leave the original save on the hard drive while copying the file onto the portable storage device, while "Move" will transfer the original file from the hard drive to the Memory Unit or USB drive. Once the transfer process is completed, the file will be accessible from the portable memory device.
