Revamp Your Workout Routine

Revamp Your Workout Routine

Tired of the routine that sets in when your doing the same workouts everyday? You may think your making progress but all you are doing is the same repetitive actions that lead to nowhere. The body is alot like the mind meaning when it does something over and over again it becomes conditioned. You may think that is good and in a way it can be but for the most part it's not. Once your muscles are conditioned or use to a particular exercise, muscle growth slows down drastically. What you have to do is develop new workouts that stimulate those muscles in a different way.

Instead of doing the same crunches try bicycle crunches or reverse crunches. Try switching up the weights and reps you do. If you constantly do 10 reps at a certain amount try adding more weights and doing 4 to 6 reps. Rotate in between free weights and cables. Run in intervals instead of at the same steady pace. Start off walking for 2 minutes to warm up and ten gradually increase your speed. Get to a "peak point" and slow it back down. For instance minutes 3-8 increase your speed every minute until you reach your "peak point", slow back down and minutes 9-13 do the same thing and keep repeating that pattern.

Another suggestion might be to keep a workout log. The exercise you really like seem to be the pillar or backbone of your routine. If you notice a specific workout recurring to much, let it rest and try something else. The trick is to notice what your doing and get as much variety s possible.

The big problem for alot of people mixing up their routines is lack of knowledge. What works and what doesn't is a concern for people because they don't want to waste their time. The best advice I have to offer here is to get educated, hit the net and research or even hire a personal trainer. The most important thing to remember is just to do something with your current knowledge and skill set and to keep learning and making improvements.

I wish you the best of luck in your success and if you would like more info visit http://theconditioningcoach.blogspot.com/ or [http://www.theconditioningcoach.com/]
