You have been keeping chickens for quite some time now but, looking at their living quarters in your backyard, quite frankly it is a little embarrassing.
It is definitely past its live in date and you really could do with a new modern poultry house.
But, how to go about this without incurring great expense? Have you ever thought about building a new one? It is easier than you think to treat your chickens to an updated modern poultry house.
To purchase the type of accommodation that you would be happy for your chickens to live in can be very costly.
After all you are paying for somebody else's expertise but, when you think that readymade chicken coops generally come flat packed, you are still going to have to do some DIY anyway.
If you are going to update your chickens living quarters, then the sky is the limit on what you can now do.
You have an enormous amount of flexibility here, on the size you choose to build for a start.
So, why not increase the number of chickens you want to keep? Room to house them will not present a problem as you can now customise to suit your own and your poultry needs.
The satisfaction of coming away from the DIY store with the materials that you have purchased for a more than reasonable price is enough to really fuel your enthusiasm to get building.
Another factor that you have ultimate control over is the safety aspect of looking after your chickens.
You have the security of knowing that you are doing everything possible to keep your egg layers more than safe.
So, take a look at the old, antiquated chicken house, get down to the DIY store and build yourself a modern poultry house to be proud of.
You know that if your chickens could talk that, as soon as they settle in, they would be saying thank you.
But, I suspect that the extra egg or two that you might find being laid will suffice as your reward for the fabulous modern poultry house that you have built for them.
