Living With Severe Back Pain

If you are living with severe back pain you might ask yourself, do I have to live with this the rest of my life? The answer to that question is definitely no! So many new advances in technology for treating pain as been discovered.
We know more about the spine and muscular system than ever before.
Surgery is always a last choice when treating your spine, so below I have listed some new findings to help you with your severe back pain.
There are three major areas of help that we can look at, the first being trigger point therapy.
Trigger points are muscular knots that have formed in our muscles and tendons, we all have them, but what happens is when we are injured due to being over worked or stretched by an accident.
We have known about these little menaces for over 60 years but until recently have they been recognized as trouble areas of our bodies.
Trigger points can be the cause of many problems in our bodies, including: headaches, low back pain, joint pain, numbness in our hands and feet, carpal tunnel, and even restless leg.
These knots can be treated by using massage or a trigger point self-treatment system developed at The Healthy Back Institute.
Next we will look at inversion therapy.
As we grow older we all are affected by spinal compression.
Spinal compression is simply defined as the effect of gravity pushing down on our spine, and over the years this constant downward force causes our disc between our vertebrae to grow thinner.
This is a less technical description but you probably know someone in your family who was six feet tall and now they have shrunk to five foot ten inches tall.
It has been proven that my using inversion therapy that it can actually slow down and in some cases stop this spinal compression.
Inversion therapies as saved many a person from back surgery and definitely helps eliminate lower back pain and if that is not enough helps improve blood flow, while improving your posture.
Another way that we can help eliminate our back pain is by the chair we sit in, especially if you work in an office where you sit for long periods of time.
It is essential that your office chair has the proper curvature for your spine when you sit down.
You should be sitting upright at all times with the proper lumbar to prevent fatigue.
Living with severe back pain can be prevented by proper instructions and help.
I know how the pain can be unbearable at times, how do I know? I use to crawl down the steps of a two-story house I lived in just to go to work in the morning.
Believe me I know the pain you can have from wrenching or injuring your back.
