We get this question again and again: Is this ride ok for my children?
Many guests that come to Orlando to see Universal Studios and/or Islands of Adventure theme parks hear about Halloween Horror Nights and want to include the ticket in their package; the answer (as many of you that read our blog knows) is definitely NO

Halloween Horror Nights is not a ride, but a complete even that takes over Universal Studios theme park after 6:30 pm on specific days in September and October and, although favorite attractions, such as The Simpsons Ride, Jurassic Park, and Revenge of The Mummy will be open during Halloween Horror Nights, the reason why we love Horror Nights are the Horrifying Mazes, Bone Chilling Scare Zones and Twisted Shows!

Who should attend then?
This event is geared more towards older teens and adults. The theme and tone of the party this year is modeled after horror films, and some of the scareactors youre likely to encounter will be very scary some bordering on disturbing. If youre comfortable watching a horror film without getting nightmares and cant wait for the next SAW movie to be released, then its a safe bet youll enjoy Halloween Horror Nights. This is definitely NOT an event that small children should attend. No costumes are allowed to be worn at Halloween Horror Nights either and candy is not the main dish, so do not think this is a Halloween party.

TIP: While the haunted houses are a blast, the lines for them arent. Saturday nights are by far the worst, with the average wait per house easily reaching 2 hours long? Sunday Thurs is much less crowded, and lines early in the evening are much more manageable 15-30 minutes.
