    • The first Dodge, a 1914 Model 30.

      Brothers John and Horace Dodge, engine suppliers for the Ford Motor Company, founded the Dodge Company in 1914 in Hamtramck, Michigan. Their first vehicle was the 4-cylinder Model 30 on a 110-inch wheelbase and selling for the low price of $785. The company was sold to the Chrysler Corporation in 1928, where it joined Plymouth and DeSoto as mid-level and entry-level offerings.
