About the space of new BMW X3; it's increased in all increased directions for better feel of luxury. The rear legroom space in the newer X3 is extended by 20mm, which was a bit shorter in the previous models. The overall length of this small SUV is increased by 80mm, width by 29mm and height by 40mm, which extends the boot capacity by 80litres and increasing more inside space for legroom and more shoulder space for extra comfort. This overall increase in dimensions makes this new X3 a more recognizable on road. Despite the increase in size, BMW engineers reveal that the kerb-weight has been reduced by 25kg in the entry level X3xDrive20d model.

Previously, the interior lacked quality material which resulted in poor grading of car. The newer model has been updated with new sporty dashboard with a quality comparable to that of X5 series. The trims and materials used inside are amazingly noticeable. The new instrument panel is very cleanly designed to give a sober and fresh look. Dashboard is intelligently designed to maintain the decency of BMW cars.
The 2011 BMW X3 will be offered with the option of 4 engines. The Petrol engine will be powered by a 268bhp naturally aspirated 3.0-litre in-line six-cylinder in the X3xDrive28i and a 302bhp twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre in-line six-cylinder in the X3 xDrive35i whereas the diesel X3 will be powered by a 181bhp 2.0-litre four-cylinder in the X3xDrive20d and a 241bhp 3.0-litre in-line six-cylinder in the X3xDrive30d. The transmission in the entry level model is manual-six-speed while you can opt for a 8-speed automatic transmission in the high end models. The previous models were not offered in so many engine options, there was only one 3.0 liter inline-six cylinder engine producing a power of 260hp, which give a very stiff choice for the buyers ofBMW X3.

The car will be set to go on sale in November in the UK market and is expected to recapture the loosened market value. The revision of this car was a very necessary factor in order to boost up the steady sale of the older X3.
The price range of 2011 BMW X3 will be hoped to start at around $49,000 and the completely loaded version will be available at around $62,000. The prices may still vary with the actual launch of the vehicle.
The production of new BMW X3 is done at BMW Spartanburg, South Carolina Plant. The BMW X5 and X6 models are already produced there and with the addition of X3 too, the location is being the competence center for X models by BMW.
