The original Chevrolet Camaro was released in 1967. In 2010, the Camaro won the World Car Design of the Year and the Interior of the Year in the Sports Car Category from Ward's Auto. The 2011 Camaro features a V6 engine with 312 horsepower. The SS model features a 6.2L V8 engine and 426 horsepower. It offers 24 highway mpg. Available in a six-speed transmission, the Camaro boasts 29 highway miles per gallon. The Head Up Display (HUD), which comes standard on the 2LT and 2SS models, displays speed, RPM, radio station and OnStar Navigation on the windshield. Owners may adjust the height and intensity of the display. Starting at $22,680, the Camaro features four-wheel anti-lock brakes and StabiliTrak Electronic Stability Control System with traction control. - Named as one of Edmund's 2010 Best Family Crossovers, the Chevy Equinox acts as a Wi-Fi hot spot. With seating for five, the Equinox offers an abundance of rear-seat leg room. The driver may adjust both the height and lumbar positions of the driver's seat. Options for the Equinox include dual-mounted entertainment systems, four-gigabyte hard drive and six-speed automatic transmission, which allows a 600-mile drive on the highway before filling up. The Equinox offers 32 highway mpg. The quiet interior of the crossover is attributed to acoustic laminated glass and sound-deadening materials. Six air bags, 10 storage areas and 63.7 cubic feet of cargo space are standard in the Equinox. Buyers may opt for a rearview camera system, which is positioned in the rearview mirror to aid in the reversing process. The camera is standard on the 2LT and LTZ models.
- The Chevrolet Silverado is available in three traditional models and one hybrid model. The Silverado 1500 was voted one of 2010's Best Bets by Cars.com. Featuring a Vortec V* engine, the truck offers 300-plus horsepower and 300 pounds per foot of torque. Payload capabilities for crew cab models is 1,980 pounds and 1,925 pounds for the extended cab model. With the MAX trailering pack, crew cabs can tow up to 10,600 pounds and extended cabs can tow 10,700 pounds. The hydro-formed front frame provides clean attachment points while offering strength and durability. Also available with a rearview camera,the StabilitTrak Electronic Stability Control System automatically adjusts to fishtailing and loss of lateral traction. Six air bags, a steel cage and automatic tire pressure readings keep the Silverado driver and passengers safe.
