The Last Word

Donruss Classics is solid again in 2007, delivering some nice rookie and memorabilia card content to go with the legends cards. My only small qualms are that it doesn't seem to bring any new elements to the table compared to previous seasons, and the base card design is not my favorite.

There are other football card sets that look back at yesterday's stars, but most don't do it as well - or at the same relatively low price point - as Donruss Classics.

That alone makes it worth a closer look for any collector who considers himself a student of the game.
