- A rotary joint is a flexible joint that connects a stationary object with a rotating object in a piece of machinery, including cars and factory equipment.
- Wire flow move through rotary joints to transfer electrical information. Rotary joints also transfer fluid, including oil and lube from the stationary object through the rotating drum in a simple, direct and efficient manner.
- Spring-loaded mechanical seals exist inside of the seal to prevent any heat transfer fluid from escaping. It is also pressure sealed to create maximum sealing capacity. The joint will move as the rotating drum moves.
- There are single flow, dual flow and multi-passage rotary joints. Single flow joints allow the fluid to move in only one direction. Dual flow joints allow the fluid to flow in and out while multi-passage joints allow for many different materials to pass through multiple times.
- Rotary joints help prevent damage to electrical lines and fluid transferring lines. Without the joint, the lines would suffer through twisting and breakage. They can also turn 360 degrees, which gives them great flexibility and range.
