Portage used Dodge drivers prepare for new 2011 Dodge models

Chrysler is playing it a bit safe when it comes to new 2011 models, no doubt as a result of the bankruptcy backlash and public perception that the company may still be trying to stabilize. Even so, Portage minivan dealers are excited about the new Dodge models that will be debuted and hope this will be another step to reassuring customers and the public that Chrysler products have retained their quality and that the company plans to be around to back up its product.

One monster addition to the Dodge line up in 2011 will be the Dodge Charger. With all the sass and power we have come to associate with the Charger, the 2011 takes it up a notch. Portage used Dodge customers will love this car's retro look and modern technology.

The 2011 Dodge Charger SRT8 is still a mystery for the most part. Dodge has not revealed any juicy details, but we do know that in spite of its powerful engine the Charger will be well above the required CAF standards on emissions and fuel consumption. (That's "well above" as in "more than compliant".)

The new transmission is an eight-speed that will partner with the new Pentastar V6 engine Chrysler has debuted (think Jeep Grand Cherokee). The rear-wheel drive will be retained, but industry experts expect some minor performance changes.

Available later this year (Wouldn't you love to have one of these under the tree?), the Charger's starting price will come in around $26,000. Portage minivan dealers can't wait to get this hot commodity in their showroom and customers will no doubt be lining up as well.

Color choices for the 2010 Charger were popular with pearl and metallic finishes, so perhaps these will be retained. Although, personally, I think there's nothing tougher than a bright red sports car. Dodge did offer it in TorRed as well.

Inside, don't expect big changes. There may be some new technology options but most in the industry believe the trim levels and options won't change too much. Satellite Radio and auxiliary technology ports are almost a must.

Wheel sizes on the 2010 model were either 17- or 18-inch and with big wheels making a big comeback, there's nothing for Charger to do but maintain or enlarge. Multiple airbags and the Sentry Key Theft Deferent System will be retained as well.

Customers of Portage new Dodge dealers and Portage used Dodge will be pleasantly surprised at the wide selection of vehicles to be found on the lot as well as the friendly service and continued relationship they will find at their dealership.

Dodge is definitely charging ahead in its determination to win back customers and keep its reputation intact.
