Types

• Waste vegetable oil, or WVO, is used vegetable oil from restaurants or industrial deep fryers. Straight vegetable oil, SVO, or PPO, comes directly from the plant. Coconut and corn oil are the most prevalent.
  
  

Warning

• Damage to certain engines and the lack of widespread availability are subjects of concern and confusion. Debate remains about the viability of large scale use of vegetable oil as fuel.
