Some owners of 2007 Honda CBR 1000 motorcycles enjoy performing bike stunts or tricks. However, it is recommended that individuals take training classes before doing tricks. With a focus on safety, it is also recommended that individuals wear proper safety equipment when doing tricks on a CBR 1000. - To complete a power wheelie, the CBR 1000 motor enables lifting of the front wheel. With the Honda CBR 1000 in middle gear, snap the throttle to 6,000 rpm (rotations per minute) and the CBR 1000 will wheelie. Pre-loading the shifter and adjusting the clutch lever will help you shift at a quicker rate. A disadvantage of a power wheelie is that the CBR 1000 could do a dangerous loop.
A clutch wheelie does not require as much power as a power wheelie. With the rpm raised to torque peak, quickly let out the clutch. You should at least be in second gear at 50 mph (miles per hour). Then, release the throttle as the front wheel raises up. Use less throttle as the wheel continues to raise, as this will prevent the bike from looping over. - Some individuals lower the air pressure in the rear tire of a CBR 1000 to perform a 12 o'clock trick. This is another version of a wheelie -- you must give the CBR 1000 enough gas -- in first gear -- to raise the front wheel. However, you must lightly manage the rear brake instead of the throttle to keep the front wheel up. Use your shoulders, knees and legs to balance the bike.
- "Stoppies" on 2007 Honda CBR 1000 models occur when a biker stops on the front tire as the rear end lifts up in the air. This particular trick employs the opposite bike positioning of a wheelie. From 10 to 15 mph, grab the front brakes slowly. You must load the front forks, transferring the bike's weight to the front wheel before you lift the back wheel. Release the front brake when you determine that the rear of the CBR 1000 is high enough.
Do not use the rear brake while the rear wheel is up as it will be more difficult for you to remain balanced when you are lowered back down.
