What is an Anti-emetic?

Definition:

An anti-emetic is a medication used to prevent or relieve nausea and vomiting (emesis). Anti-emetic medications can be given orally, rectally, or intravenously (through a vein or a port.)

With lung cancer, anti-emetics are frequently used during and following chemotherapy to prevent and treat nausea and vomiting.
