How to Fix a Leak in the Accordion Bellows

    • 1). Cut a small piece of lightweight cardboard that is large enough to cover the entire leak.

    • 2). Fold the piece of cardboard in half and apply a liberal amount of white glue to the back of the cardboard piece.

    • 3). Align the cardboard patch inside the fold of the accordion’s bellows, with the glue side facing inward.

    • 4). Press the patch in place firmly using a butter knife or similar object to help press the patch into the fold.

    • 5). Close the bellows and place a heavy book on top of the instrument, allowing the patch to dry in place before you use the instrument.
