The 2006 Honda Accord came in six trim levels, two of which had a V6 engine. These were the 3.0 LX and the 3.0 EX. The V6 cars featured a horsepower of 244 hp, seated five and came in two-door or four-door configurations. - The 3.0 LX and the 3.0 EX both have a 17.1 gallon fuel tank, a chrome plated exhaust, and they run on regular unleaded gasoline. The cars are front-wheel-drive with an antilock braking system and driveline. The 3.0 LX comes in a five-speed automatic transmission with overdrive and does 20 miles per gallon (mpg) in the city and 29 mpg on the highway. The 3.0 EX comes in a choice of six-speed manual and five-speed automatic, both with overdrive. The manual version does 21 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway, whereas the automatic does 20 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway.
The front suspension in the cars is a double wishbone with coil springs and gas-pressurized shocks. Front and rear antiroll bars are featured. The rear suspension is a multilink type with coil springs and gas pressurized shocks.
The steering is a rack-and-pinion type and both cars come with Vehicle Stability Assist. All four brakes are discs with vented discs in the front. The wheels are 17-inch silver alloy and the front tire size is P215/50VR17.0BSW AS. - The four-door versions are 191.1 inches long, 71.6 inches wide and 57.3 inches high and have a wheelbase of 108 inches. Maximum cargo volume is 14 cubic feet with passenger volume of 98 cubic feet.
The two-door versions are 187.6 inches long, 71.3 inches wide and 55.7 inches high and have a wheelbase of 105 inches. Maximum cargo volume is 12.8 cubic feet with passenger volume of 88 cubic feet. - Both cars feature front bucket seats, center armrests with storage, power sunroof, front reading lights, rear under-seat heating ducts, radio steering wheel controls, a six-disc CD player, radio theft deterrent, in-window grid antenna, cruise control with steering wheel controls, power locks, remote keyless entry, rear child safety door locks, telescopic steering wheel, rear defroster and power windows.
Both car versions also have driver and passenger airbags, seat-mounted driver and passenger side impact airbags, side impact bars and a panic alarm and security system.
The EX also has heated seat cushions for driver and passenger, a heated seatback on the driver side and automatic air conditioning as well as leather seat, steering wheel and dash trim. The EX also had an option of an in-car navigation system.
