- 1). Log in to your Neopets account by clicking on "Log In" at the upper-right corner of the website's main page. Type in your user name and password to be directed to your page.
- 2). Hover over "My Account" in the upper-left corner of your page. Select "Edit Profile" from the drop-down menu that opens. You will be directed to your user profile, where you can makes changes. Your password is needed to make changes to your page or account.
- 3). Use a specific code to change the background color. The code can be found on Neopets.com (see reference). Place the code into the "About Me" box in the user profile. To change the color of your background, type the color's name after the phrase "background-color." This phrase is part of the code.
- 4). Upload a picture to the Internet if you want to add a photo to your background. Neopets states that once your picture is on the internet, you can use a specific code and place the photo's URL into that code. The code to add a picture can be found on Neopets.com (see reference). Add the code to the "About Me" box.
- 5). Preview the changes by clicking "Preview Lookup."
- 6). Click "Change Your Details" to change your background lookup.
