For those of you who have just published your website or for people who have been online for a while, here's a great way to increase the traffic to your site.
And, it won't cost you any money! Does the following scenario sound familiar? You have a great looking website.
Your family and friends love it and tell you how wonderful it looks.
Your keyword research shows that the product you're selling is in great demand.
You're about to get rich! But, your website has been online for 3 months and you have made 2 sales (and one was from your mother).
And then one day a light bulb goes off in your head and you realize that having a good-looking site and a popular product won't make you any money without visitors to your website.
If no one knows you're there, then it's only by accident that anyone will find your website on the internet.
Generating traffic is crucial to the success of your online business.
And one of the easiest and least expensive ways to get people to your website is through Article Marketing.
You say 'but I'm not a writer" -- believe me, it's not as hard as it sounds.
No one knows your product better than you so just write something about your product that would interest a typical buyer.
For example, if you're selling widgets, and the widgets are the latest version with lots of benefits and features, then pick one benefit to write about, then another and another.
Pretty soon you will have five or 10 articles written to be published.
You also should include a small bio at the end of your article that tells the reader a little about you and your expertise as well as inserting a clickable link to your website.
Don't overdo it, though -- it's not about you! Be absolutely sure to completely proof read your article to eliminate any spelling and grammatical mistakes, especially with your links.
Nothing turns a potential customer off more than a broken link.
Next, submit your article to some of the major article directories -- just type in 'article submission' or 'article directory' into your favorite search engine to find a list of directories.
Then, start the process all over again.
Write lots of articles and submit them to the directories and you should begin to see a dramatic increase in you traffic.
It may not happen overnight, but if you write good, concise articles on your niche or product, the visitors will come.
