Pimples are small skin lesions or inflammations commonly arising from clogged or infected pores.
They are more common among adolescents but adults may also experience it.
Pimples usually occur on the face and sometimes involving the neck, chest, back and upper arms.
Pimples are not caused by the foods that you eat (such as chocolate, soft drinks or greasy foods) or by dirt (blackheads are caused by a pigment, not dirt), and you can't catch it from someone else.
Bacteria are the common culprit for all forms of pimples.
Bacteria in the pores collect with dead skin and oil and grow, creating pimples that can be fully painful.
The two most common ways to treat pimples is by oral or topical applications.
These days, a myriad of acne treatments that work to fight acne are greatly available on the market.
Even though numerous methods exist there are not many acne treatments were found to rid acne forever.
I consider natural treatment methods the best first choice because they are cheaper and always a better choice for acne due to less exposure to drugs and chemical-laden acne products.
I suggest findings pimple treatments with quality products with ingredients that will not irritate your skin, such as emu oil.
The problem with most pimple and acne treatments and acne products is that not everyone reacts the same way to the same treatment; what worked for one may not work for another.
In some cases prescription medications prescribed by dermatologists might be needed.
These are usually in the form of antibiotics, especially if the pimples are bacteria-based.
My main advice is do not pop pimples.
When the pimples are squeezed, more redness, swelling, inflammation and scarring may result.
Did you know that when you pop a pimple you spread even more pimple causing bacteria? The last thing one wants is more pimples.
My suggestion is to resist the urge to pop it by covering it up with a band aid.
In most cases prevention is the key to having a clear skin.
Wash your face with warm soapy water twice a day and try eating a balanced diet with ample portions of fresh fruits and vegetables.
In conclusion the best treatment for pimples is to prevent them from happening by diet and proper skin care.
