Bureaucratic leadership and style are giant mechanism

Someone said that "bureaucracy is a giant mechanism operated by pygmies."  Leadership development leads in one way to bureaucratic leadership that is a style of leadership which emphasizes procedures and historical methods regardless of their usefulness in changing environments. Such leaders' attempt to solve the due problems by adding the layers of control and their power comes from controlling the flow of information.It is a very suitable style for work involving serious safety jeopardies. For instance: working with machinery, with toxic machinery and a large sum of money are involved. In different circumstance, the rigidity and high levels of control wielded can demoralize staff. This can also reduce the organizations capability to react to changing external statuses.   It is very organized and follows the measures as they have been established. This type of leadership has no space to sightsee new ways to solve problems. Usually it is quite slow paced to ensure loyalty to the stepladders stated by the company or organization.

 So the bureaucratic leadership style can be effective when workers need to comprehend certain standards. It can also be effective if then employees are performing the due tasks over and over. Security training is should be conducted for the positive results. Employees are performing tasks that require handling cash.

 Now at the same time bureaucratic leadership style is ineffective if the work habits form that are hard to break or change, especially when they are no longer useful or valid.  This leadership style was first described by max weber in 1947. As this style is founded normative rules, and obeying to lines of authority. Weber was the first to differentiate between transactional leaders, such as bureaucratic leaders, and transformational leaders, such as charismatic leaders.  That is why he told some important characteristics of the bureaucratic style that are following:

 Leaders should impose hard and organized discipline on the followers, and demand professional conduct in the workplace. Leaders have position power that they hold in the office.  To conform the proper rule of the office or company the followers are promoted on their eligibility, performance and ability. In the same way followers should obey theirs bosses because authority is bestowed upon the leaders as part of their position in the organization.

Leaders confirm that all the paces have been followed former to sending it to the next level of authority. Institutions, hospitals, banks and government usually require this type of leader in their organizations to assurance quality, increase safety and to remove and decrease sleaze. Leaders that try to speed up the process will experience hindranceand apprehension at the same time.  There are two main benefits of such type of leadership. The foremost is allows gratitude of the conducts in which leader style impact the workers. Other allows departmental achievement when a particular leadership achieves the due departmental goals.
