Rather than their children missing out on summer camp opportunities, granting has been made available to many programs. Children in grades 6 and up are eligible for free summer camp thanks to grants. Wingspan Arts Summer Theater Conservatory focuses on theatrical and performing arts. Not only are children able to learn these skills, but lunch and outdoor play is also provided throughout the day.

Low-income families with children ages 8 to 15 are eligible for free summer camp opportunities through Willie Randolph Summer Sports Experience. Beginning each spring, children are offered structured education in the sporting areas of track and field, soccer, tennis, basketball, baseball, and more.

This free summer camp opportunity is available for students in grades 9 to 12. With particular focus on Shakespeare, students do not need to be familiar with him or his works in order to participate in this camp. This camp offers workshops and instruction about Shakespeare's work and his plays. Not only will students explore these areas, but they will also work on writing and performing.
