Attacking Baby Jesus and 3 Christmas Myths: Bad Timing, Cultural Baggage and Wrong Name!

  1. Bad Timing.
You may already know that the winter solstice was celebrated as the birth of Tammuz, conceived by Semiramuz and Nimrod (Google).
Shepherds weren't "abiding in the fields" in winter.
Biblical clues support Christ's birth in the fall at the Feast of Tabernacles.
It's an 8-day commemoration of Israel's sojourn in the wilderness that also fits Christ's "tabernacling" with us.
Described in Leviticus 23, it had a special focus on the 1st and 8th day.
From a Christian view, Christ was born on the first and circumcised on the 8th day as every Jewish boy was.
  2. Bad Baggage.
A 5th-grader asked his teacher what Jeremiah meant: "Learn not the way of the heathen...
The customs of the people are vain...
One cuts a tree out of the forest...
They deck it with silver and with gold.
    " Jeremiah 10:2-4.
The only birthday celebrations in the Bible were bad events.
John the Baptist was beheaded at Herod's birthday celebration and a baker was hanged on Pharaoh's birthday.
Maybe we should stop celebrating ourselves.
Children can have a healthy self-esteem without an ego trip that makes them self-centered and the focus of everything.
  3. Bad ID.
The name of Jesus is phony! There was no "J" letter in Greek or Hebrew, so it can't be right.
Christ gave us a major clue when He said, "I am come in my Father's name and you receive me not.
If another shall come in his own name, him you will receive.
" If the Father's name was Zeus, then they say Christ's name right in Italy when they pronounce it as "Yea Zeus" (Iesous).
In Latin America, they pronounce it as "Hey Zeus.
    " We say Gee Zus.
But the Father's name was not Zeus-the god of Greek mythology that saved everyone with no need of repentance.
God saves, but we must be willing to repent.
Philosophically, Jesus fills the bill for billions of people who mystically want to be saved, but who have no interest in repenting of their deeds; it's human nature to like our sins.
The cross means to reckon ourselves dead to sin and alive to Christ-totally foreign to too many "Christians"! Support for the above concept is found in Acts 13:6,8 where Bar-jesus means sorcery.
"Bar" means son of-so Jesus is son of sorcery.
To understand how this name got into the Bible as the Savior's name, we should ask the Jesuits.
Their name means the Society of Jesus and the Vatican, a word that means "divining serpent," worships Lucifer as the father of Jesus, http://vimeo.

    )
So what do we do? We can't live in a vacuum.
We should replace what's "bad" above with what's good.
The Feast of Tabernacles (and all the "appointed times" of Leviticus 23) were not only commemorative but prophetic and therefore instructive for us.
Not only did Israel leave Egypt to live in booths or tents in the wilderness, but the apostle Paul said, "All those things happened unto them for examples and they are written for our admonition upon whom the ends of the world are come.
" 1Corinthians 10:1,11.
Re the end-times, Paul said, The day of the Lord comes as a thief in the night with sudden destruction...
as travail on a woman with child.
1Thessalonians 5:1-6.
We should be expecting a sudden calamity as a pretext for martial (military) law and the loss of freedom.
This is probably what Christ meant when He warned us to flee when we see the abomination "standing where it ought not," Mark 13;14 "Standing where it ought not" is what we see with SWAT teams beating doors down and check points so that one can no longer travel without "show me your papers" (Nazi Germany).
We are not far from that, and Christ said to flee.
Those who don't may become subjects to Novus Ordo Seclorum (New Order of the Ages-words under the pyramid on our $1 bill).
Fleeing to rural locations won't be easy, so maybe we should give it some thought before events take us by surprise as Scripture implies it will for most...
