Here's a few questions for you: How's your health? Do you have goals that you are not accomplishing because you're not at the top of your game? We are all meant to thrive.
Our bodies are tailor made for health, repair and maintenance, thanks to billions of years of evolution.
It is on the job 24/7 working to keep you healthy.
But without the right tools, it can only do so much.
Did you know that every cell in your body is replaced several times during your lifetime? You get a completely new body! So if you want to build a better body the next time your cells begin anew, you have to give them the tools to do it right.
Feed your body the good stuff, not just stuff to 'fill the gap.
' You can build a body out of Big Mac's, or the high quality foods that will feed your cells to be at their best right now and in the future.
What you do has consequences, both positive and negative No kidding, right? But when it comes to your health, those consequences may well be life threatening.
Here's a little reality check.
One out of every two people in America will get cancer at some point during their lifetime.
Next time you're walking through your local mall observing all those people, think about that.
Tough pill to swallow, but those are the facts.
And that's just one disease.
Do what everybody else does and get what everybody else gets Let's face the facts.
The Standard American Diet, or SAD for short, is not very good.
We have rampant obesity, diabetes, cancer, heart disease, osteoporosis and more.
We also know it because wherever our diet is adopted throughout the world, they start to get the same diseases that Americans get.
Back in the 1930's, Dr.
Weston Price, author of Nutrition and Physical Degeneration, visited several traditional cultures that had been 'westernized.
' It didn't take very long to witness the results.
Degenerative diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, osteoporosis, and cancer account for the vast majority of health care dollars in America.
But YOU don't have to become a statistic.
There's a lot you can do right now, today, to begin to move yourself away from those unsettling health statistics, and towards a long and productive life.
But it's up to you.
Start where you are, but don't wait too long There's nothing you can do about what you did yesterday, last week, or last year.
BUT...
there's a lot you can do today.
This holds true for just about everything in life, and definitely for improving your health.
Take small steps No matter how big the achievement, it always starts with one step.
What can you do today? Can you eat a salad today? Can you pass on the dessert? Can you eat a smaller portion tonight for dinner? Can you switch to light beer and a few less? Can you get out for a short walk today? Even small actions are rewarded.
Build health habits that won't fail you Start today, start small, stay steady.
Anything you do repeatedly eventually becomes a habit.
Wait for it.
Don't give up too soon.
Take some action today, any action, and start to improve your health.
Remember, every time you do something that supports your health, you gain some benefit.
Even if you can't see it in the moment, your cells know it and appreciate it!
