Ajmer a City Comprises of Forts,Lakes,Dargah and Temples

Ajmer, a well known famous holy place related with sufi Saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti is amongst one of the five largest city of Rajasthan with Pushkar in its vicinity. Prithvi Raj chauhan was the ruler who ruled the so called holy place. The tourist places around Ajmer are distinct, to name a few are:
€ Dargah sharif: The burial of Saint Khwaja Muinuddin Chisti is located in this dargah. The building is made up of white marble. It is believed that Akbar and his queen visited this place on foot every year when they wanted to have a son.
€ Taragarh Fort: It is the fort that guards Ajmer. It is said to be an oldest fort of India & the globe.
€ Mayo College: Lord Mayo is the founded this college in the year 1875. The eye catching architect is based on the theme of Royal Rajasthan. The main building of the school is made up of white marble which is an example of classic Indo Saraceic architecture.
€ Anasagar Lake: Maharaje Anaji built this lake in 1135-1150 AD. Emperor Jahangir laid a garden known as Daulat Bagh near the lake. Later Shah Jahan adds up 5 pavilions in Baraderi between the two.
€ Soniji ki Nosiyan: It is a Digamber Jain temple built in 19th century which is rich in its architect. Swarna Nagari means city made of gold being the main chamder of the temple is full of wooden figures plated with gold.
€ Lake Foy Sagar:It is an artificial lake created in 1892 with the aim of helping feminine relief campaign, holds a special place in Ajmer Tourism. It gives a vista of Aravalli mountains and flights of birds in the evening are worth watching.
€ Salembad (Nimbark Peeth): This Peeth is founded by Khejarli Shri Sheoji & Gopal Singh ji Bhati in 1520. The entrance of the temple gives the wonderful glimpse of the deity as soon as the devotee enters the temple. The temple has been constructed in such a way that, on sharad Purnima the lotus feet of the idol is touched by the moonlight at mid night. This wide spread temple covers forty two thousand square feet land is one of the worth watching temple in Ajmer Tourism.
€ Taragarh fort: It can be called as guard of the city Ajmer as it protects the city and with six gates entry. The Miran Saheb who lost his life in an encounter is buried in this fort.
€ Anna Sagar: This artificial lake which got its name from Anaji Chauhan was constructed by shah Jahan for his stays in Ajmer.
€ Nareli Jain Temple:At Kishangash bypass a Jain temple is situated which is known as Nareli Jain temple is a must-visit place in Ajmer Tourism.The temple is famous for its mouth watering food and strict rules relating to food.
Ajmer is a holy city attracting millions of Hindu and Muslims visitors. Beside these Tourist places around Ajmer one can watch Nasiyan temple also known as Red temple. In short Ajmer is popularly known for its culture and education. Large numbers of devotees take a dip in holy Pushkar Lake.
