- You can transfer photos from your BlackBerry Torch to your computer and, from there, upload those photos to Facebook using your Internet browser. If you have the USB cable that was included with your device, you can connect it to a free USB port on your computer and copy images from your BlackBerry or an inserted picture card to your computer's hard drive. As an alternative, you can pair your BlackBerry Torch and computer via Bluetooth technology, and wirelessly transfer the photos if your computer has Bluetooth. Either steps requires an extra step as you upload pictures to Facebook from your computer.
- You can download the official Facebook app for your BlackBerry Torch from the BlackBerry App World on your phone or you can send the application to your phone from the Facebook page. If you do not currently have Internet access on your BlackBerry Torch, you can save the application to your desktop and then transfer it. Facebook for BlackBerry allows you to send photos to your associated Facebook account and also supports features such as Facebook places, which lets you check into different locations from your phone.
- You do not need to install any additional software to your computer or Blackberry if you want to send photos directly to your Facebook account. Facebook will assign you with a personalized email address that you can use to send photos or videos to your account. You can find your customized email from the Facebook Mobile page. This media will be saved to your "Mobile Uploads" that you and your visitors can see from your Facebook photos or videos page. If you wish to add a caption to your photo or video, you should use the "Subject" field of your email message.
- Facebook provides a mobile website for users on devices, including smartphones such as your BlackBerry Torch. This scaled-down version of the website is accessible on devices with smaller screens and slower download speeds. When you log onto the Facebook mobile website on your BlackBerry smartphone, you will be able to do many of the activities that you can do on Facebook from your computer, including uploading photos to your albums, posting status messages, and viewing News Feeds and photo uploads from your Facebook friends. Note that this method may take more time and clicks than simply using your Facebook mobile email address.
