    • Your children can express their creativity, learn and play at Kearney Kidzone, a children's museum. Kearney Area Children's Museum (KACM) believes in promoting active learning through play and the arts. It offers 13,000 square feet of exhibit space, a soda fountain, an Agricultural Zone (where kids can crawl through the earth in a natural surrounding), Shadows Zone (to create fun shadows) and an Auto Zone, where they can pretend to drive real cars. For young future doctors, the Hospital Zone is complete with stethoscopes and x-rays that allow kids to explore the medical world. These and numerous other fun zones are available for your child's entertainment. Kidzone offers affordable low prices for the whole family, with no entry age restrictions. As of April 2010, Kearney Kidzone will be open at its new location on 4th Avenue.

    Big Apple Fun Center

    • This year-round fun center, open daily, has a large selection of activities for you and your children. Ballocity, a big soft indoor playground, is filled with tubes, slides, foam balls, air blasters and fountains for adventurous kids aged three to 12. You are allowed to play with your little ones in this three-level play area. The Big Apple Fun Center has 36 bowling lanes with automatic score boards, a game room with 50 arcade games for kids aged two and older, a Go-Kart season that starts in April, miniature golf and snack bars.

    The City of Kearney Park & Recreation Department

    • Kearney's Park & Recreation Department (KPR) provides fun activities for children, including kids with special needs and accommodations. A variety of cultural, recreational, leisure and special activities are offered at KPR. You can choose to engage your child in fishing workshops, fine art programs and community events happening throughout the year. KPR facilities include walking trails, swimming pools, a rock garden, outdoor amphitheaters, a playground and beautiful landscapes.
