Getting married is one of the most important events in a woman's life. A bridal shower that focuses on the bride's personal interests, hobbies and goals can leave a lasting and positive impression on a her. Although you might want to spend days or weeks planning a bridal shower, there are instances when you have to pull the shower together in less than one day. The following bridal shower ideas will help you to do that. - Rent a banquet hall or a community center. Churches and other places of worship, particularly those with annexes, rent out banquet halls at reasonable rates. Decorate the hall or community center with balloons and banners that are the same color as the wedding day decorations.
Create a theme for the bridal shower. For example, you could create a treasure hunt theme and purchase paper plates and cups decorated with pictures of treasure chests on them. Ask each bridal shower attendee to hide her gift in the banquet hall, perhaps beneath a table or in a storage box. Serve beverages and light foods like vegetables, fruit and cold sandwiches. Allow the bride to search for each of her gifts or treasures. Each time the bride finds and opens a present congratulate her on finding the gift of love. Play the bride's favorite music in the background on an iPod or stereo to add a festive mood to the event. - Invite the bride's closest friends to a local spa. Meet with the spa manager beforehand and reserve a private room at the spa where the bride can open her gifts. When you first arrive at the spa, treat the bride to a facial, deep body massage and manicure. Allow other attendees to get the spa treatments that they prefer to receive. Ask each member of the bridal shower to chip in to help pay for the bride's spa treatments. After everyone has received their treatments, escort the bride to the private room so you can present her with her gifts. Ask each gift-giver to stand and read a poem or a personal note to the bride expressing how happy she is for the bride and the groom and their union before she gives the bride her gift. Munch on finger foods, like stuffed mushrooms or pretzels, during the gift exchange.
- Reserve a private table at the bride's favorite restaurant. Invite the bride's closest friends and relatives to the restaurant. Ask them not to tell the bride so she is surprised. Inform the restaurant manager and ask her to prepare a "Congratulations Bride" cake for the bride. When you drive the bride to the restaurant, tell her that it's a lunch for just the two of you. Cue the bridal shower guests to shout "Congratulations" when the bride nears the table. Split the cost of the bride's meal between each guest. Recount funny experiences shared between the bride and the guests over the years while you dine on appetizers and main course dishes. At the end of the meal, present the bride with her cake and gifts.
