- 1). Disconnect all of the computers connected to the KVM switch except for the computer connected to port one. The computer connected to port one will perform the firmware upgrade.
- 2). Remove the keyboard and mouse from the KVM switch and connect them directly to the computer connected to port one on the KVM switch.
- 3). Go to Belkin.com and click on the "Support Home" hyperlink located on the left navigation bar. Click on the picture of the KVM switch. Select your model from the drop-down menu. Download the firmware installation utility titled "Belkin SOHO.exe" and the firmware for your device. Download them to the desktop of your computer.
- 4). Close all unnecessary running applications, including antivirus software, and then double-click on the Belkin SOHO.exe file that you downloaded to your desktop. Navigate through the onscreen prompts to install the firmware utility software.
- 5). Click the first (far left) button on your KVM switch until you hear two beeps. The switch goes into upgrade mode.
- 6). Click on the browse button and locate the firmware file you downloaded to your desktop. With the file selected, proceed with the update by clicking on the "update" icon. Wait until the computer prompts you with, "Upgrade OK." Do not power your computer or KVM switch off while the computer is flashing the KVM switch. Doing so damages the switch.
